French or foreign, tourists are inundated with a multitude of travel offers. In order to demonstrate its distinction and increase its tourism revenues, France emphasizes the quality of its products.
The Ministry of Tourism has therefore issued a national seal of quality for members of the tourism sector, reinforcing France's commitment to service in the hospitality industry, and its role as a quality tourist destination. The objective is to unify the already existing quality programs under a single label, Qualité Tourisme, thus providing the consumer with a more comprehensive travel resource.
The mark will help you, the traveler, to choose with confidence an itinerary that is of the highest quality in France.
The conditions to receive the mark of Quality Tourism were developed with governmental as well as professional French industry partners.
A logo incorporating the colors of France was created and will be used to identify the chosen sites. A promotional campaign, managed by Maison de la France, will publicize the logo and promote the tourism industry in France.
The mark of Quality Tourism will unite under one symbol all the quality programs previously established to satisfy visitors. It is a guarantee of high quality for welcome, service, professionalism, reliability and security, all of which are considered essential values.
A Qualité Tourisme sign will be placed at the entrance of the establishments holding the mark of tourism, acknowledging the high standards of their services. The mark will signal to visitors that they can be confident in their choice.
Tourism companies and organizations that will be affected are :
· Accommodations (hotels, camping grounds, apartment rentals, tourism residences, bed and breakfasts, vacation villages)
· Restaurants/bars
· Tourism offices
· Travel agencies for seasonal rentals
· Transportation (bus companies, car rental companies, etc.)
